Carried out by pedagogues, psychologists, speech therapists, pedagogical therapists and career counselors, employed in kindergartens, schools and institutions as part of the weekly compulsory teaching, educational and care hours:

Conducting research and diagnostic activities of children and adolescents

Including screening tests, diagnosing their individual development and educational needs and psychophysical abilities in order to determine strengths, predispositions, interests and talents as well as causes of educational failures or difficulties in functioning, including barriers and limitations that make it difficult their functioning and participation in the life of the kindergarten, school and institution they attend;

Providing psychological and pedagogical help to pupils, pupils, parents and teachers;
multi-specialist assessment of the functioning level of children and adolescents covered by special education;

Conducting research and diagnostic activities of children and adolescentsConducting activities in the field of prevention of addictions and other problems of children and adolescents, including activities aimed at counteracting the emergence of risky behaviors related to the use of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, substitutes and new psychoactive substances by students;

conducting other activities with pupils – applies to teachers employed, for example, from SOSW

The tasks of public kindergartens, schools and institutions in the field of providing psychological and pedagogical assistance to students and organizing this assistance:

Psychological and pedagogical assistance in kindergarten, school and institution is provided to students by all teachers in their day-to-day work with the student during classes, tutors and specialists who perform tasks in the field of psychological and pedagogical assistance in the kindergarten, school and institution, in particular: psychologists, educators, speech therapists, counselors professional and pedagogical therapists.

In kindergarten, psychological and pedagogical support is provided in the course of ongoing work with the student and through the integrated activities of teachers and specialists, as well as in the form of:

1) classes to develop talents;

2) specialist classes: corrective and compensatory, speech therapy, developing emotional and social competences, and other therapeutic activities;

3) an individualized path for the implementation of the compulsory one-year pre-school preparation;

4) advice and consultation.

At school, psychological and pedagogical support is provided in the course of ongoing work with the student and through the integrated activities of teachers and specialists, as well as in the form of:

1) therapeutic classes;

2) classes to develop talents;

3) activities developing learning skills;

4) didactic and compensatory classes;

5) specialist classes: corrective and compensatory, speech therapy, developing emotional and social competences, and other therapeutic activities;

6) classes related to the choice of education and profession – in the case of primary school students and secondary school students;

7) individualized learning path;

8) advice and consultation;

9) workshops.
