"Baby Steps to Success" Guide
Supported by a grant from the Prince Charitable Trusts, Lekotek created the new "Baby Steps to Success" guide that highlights activities and strategies for children, birth to three years old. The flipchart guide provides families with information on a child's developmental stages and appropriate activities for each stage of growth. Project Include
In 1995, funded through a federal grant, the National Lekotek Center and the City of Evanston partnered to create a comprehensive, nationally replicable model of training and support services for providing inclusive public recreation programming to all community residents regardless of their abilities. This project resulted in the development of materials that have assisted communities across the U.S. to find creative and cost effective ways to meet the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
